This was a personal project created in September/October 2022. I had just completed a Domestika online course on Packaging Illustration (instructed by Lisa Perrin) and I was very inspired to create my own unique design. My self-directed brief was to create a label for coffee, since it’s one of my favourite beverages!

I challenged myself to include elements of nature, animals and custom hand-lettering; all with a contemporary take on vintage, Victorian-style packaging. ‘Brady’s Barrel Aged Irish Whiskey Coffee’ with Brazilian origin beans provided a starting point for brainstorming visual ideas. The white flowers and red cherries of the coffee plant, alongside the Brazilian Capuchin monkey, roasted beans and a barrel all found their way into the end design.
